Looking for fairings for my 2010 Cross Roads

Jrod, I have a new 2012 XR and I looking to put a fairing on it as well. Been looking at Wide Open Customs, and about half a dozen others, and Wide Open fairings seem to be the only ones that are made to fit a Victory XR and they look like the best deal going, for the money. I assuing the pics you showed are the Wide Open Customs fairing looks like it. Questions how do you like the fairing?

Did you wire it in “hot” direct to the battery, and if so, how is that working for you? I put the aux lights (driving lights) on my XR and I was thinking about wiring the fairing in to a switch. I have tihe switch panel with 2 awitch positions, one of which controls the aux lights on my bike. My thought was to wire the fairing to the other switch, which isn being used. That way I won have to unplug the fairing to disconnect the power to it. fairings plus Any thoughts?

My own personal opinion, if I were going to do a fairing, I retro a cross country setup onto the XR, IF it could be done. Never seen a thread on that, but if the forks and trees are the same, don know why it couldn be done. I imagine there be a lot to change though. Risers, bars, lights, probably some harness swaps or additions, etc.

Baddest fairing I ever seen though was on a bike Scott at Conquest Customs did. It a one off custom glassed fairing that absolutely gorgeous. If any were at SEVR in Helen you saw this gorgeous orange beast. yamaha r3 fairings Probably my favorite XC custom to date.

Wonder what it take to do XR to XC conversion though for a sure enough XC fairing. That be one great DIY thread!

Yes this would look good also only problem would be cost, in the thousands is my bet unless you could find a bike in junkyard

I considering a WOC fairing on my 2012 XR LE. I was curious about the application with my light bar so I contatced WOC and they said it would not work. However, I seen where others have made slight, very simple modifications and it has indeed worked.

I think you have to move your speed O down a bit, but still using the same bracket so not a big deal. You also need to move the running lights out about 1 2″ on each side. Easily done with a homemade bracket.
