We had a blast camping out with the Webelos from Pack 373 in our backcountry. The cub scouts learnt knots from the scouts in Troop 79 and participated in the burning of palm fronds to be used for Ash Wednesday. It was a cold night but everyone had fun!

On Saturday Feb. 11, 2017 Troop 79 along with cub scout pack 373 participated in the scouting for food program which is a food collection drive to benefit needy families in Fayette county.

Troop 79 held our very own merit badge day on Dec 3, 2016 at Hopewell United Methodist Church. Merit badge classes offered included Automotive Maintenance, Citizenship in the Nation, Engineering, Personal Fitness, Personal Management & Programming.
